Hello, friends! As promised, I have a special Valentine’s outfit for you today. I decided to keep the Valentine’s theme understated so I think this outfit would work well throughout the season, not just for V-Day. Let’s see what you think!
I am wearing an over-sized black sweater tucked into red denim cutoff shorts over a pair of black-on-black polka dot tights. I tucked the sweater into the shorts and belted them at the waist with a bright turquoise skinny patent leather belt and accessorized with my new love rose gold watch. I completed the outfit with my new favorite pale lilac converse tennis shoes.
I have been wanting to wear a tights and shorts ensemble for a while now and when I pulled out my over-sized black sweater, I thought they would be the perfect match. To make the sweater more appropriate for Valentine’s Day, and also to try out the heart sweater trend, I decided to add the yarn heart to the front of the sweater – don’t worry, I’ll be sharing this super simple DIY tomorrow! Because the red shorts are a deep, burgundy red, I decided to brighten the outfit by adding little pops of color in the turquoise belt and lilac shoes. Also, because there are so many different elements to the ensemble – polka dots, a giant heart, pops of color and lots of layers – I figured that keeping the accessories as simple as possible would be best; so, I only added matching turquoise stud earrings and my “boyfriend-style” rose gold watch.
So, there you have it, my idea of a cute, quirky, Valentine’s Day outfit! Obviously, I have something a little different planned for dinner Thursday night (if The Boyfriend is feeling better, he’s sick, poor guy!), but I thought this would be a fun way to share the love… if you catch my drift. Thanks for reading ;)

You added the heart? That’s pretty impressive!
I did, thank you!! It was super easy, I’m posting a DIY on how I did it tomorrow! :)
