Hello, friends, Happy Friday! The weather has (thankfully) warmed up a bit here and although I know it won’t last long – it’s just a tease of spring weather – I knew this was my chance to try something a little different. Take a look:
You see, I have recently become inspired by Drew Barrymore and her own brand of personal style. Whether she is rocking a band t-shirt and Converse or a long, flowing dress and flowers in her hair, you get the feeling that she is being genuine; in other words, Drew is the kind of woman who always looks comfortable in her own skin and whose style always looks effortless. Just a few examples:
So with the this idea of effortless style and a few recent pins in my head, I decided to try creating my own casual, chic effortless look. Here is what I put together:
I am wearing a loose-fitting white blouse (H&M) tucked into a pair of light wash skinny jeans (American Eagle) which I rolled up to look more like boyfriend jeans and belted at the waist with a skinny, shiny gold belt. I paired this outfit with my pale blush pink wedges and accessorized with an aqua and gold statement necklace (Forever 21) and my favorite rose gold watch (Target).
I love how easy breezy this outfit felt – I was comfortable, but I still felt super stylish with my trendy accessories, which I think helped pull the look together. I love the way the necklace and other shiny accessories really popped against the muted color palette. I like this look A LOT and I will definitely be trying it again, especially with spring just around the corner!
Thanks for reading :)

I have that same shirt! :) It’s so comfy! I usually wear it with a pair of burgundy or blue skinnies, but it looks super good with boyfriend jeans! Great post!
Isn’t it the greatest shirt – so comfy and such easy style! Those sound like two really cute combinations, too; in fact, I have some blue polka dot skinnies that I might have to try with this shirt now!! :)
This is a lovely look on you – I always love Drew’s style too.
Thanks so much! I am a casual girl at heart, so I love the idea of style looking and feeling effortless :)
